Acik Saray and St. Jean Church
Acik Saray (Open Palace) is an extensive rock-cut settlement area. Structures dating to the Roman and Byzantine periods were used as a monastery complex. Fairy chimney-shaped rock structures contain rooms serving different purposes.
St. Jean Church (Karsi Church) draws attention with its well-preserved 13th-century frescoes. The scenes depicting the life of Jesus are counted among the highest quality Byzantine paintings in Cappadocia.
