Unique Frescoes

The Snake Church is a rectangular-plan structure with a simple barrel vault. It takes its name from the fresco depicting St. George and St. Theodore slaying the dragon (snake).

The most interesting fresco in the church is St. Onesimos depicted with a naked body. Additionally, the scene of Emperor Constantine and his mother St. Helena with the True Cross is an important example of early Christian iconography.
