Sultanhani on the Kayseri-Sivas road has a strategic position on the eastern branch of the Silk Road. An important rest stop for trade caravans coming from eastern Anatolia, the structure reveals the extent of the Seljuk trade network.
Restoration and Today
Damaged over the years, the structure has been restored in various periods. The vaulted structure and stonework of the covered section still reflect Seljuk craftsmanship. The building is preserved as one of the region's important cultural heritage sites.
